Atmospheric Sound Added And Moved!!
After user testing feedback I decided to move the first trigger that plays the atmospheric music; to the first room the player is in at the start of the demo level in front of the door. I then created a second trigger and placed it half way through the demo level to play the same piece of music. I thought that before the first two triggered events the music would play and the player would then begin to start to build association between; the music with something is about to happen.

Player Height Issues!!
Again after much searching for the answer to my problem of the player height and in response to the user feedback I have found nothing that will change the player height successfully apart from what is documented earlier I my blog. So because this game concept is in first person I have decided to use blocking volumes to increase the floor height thus increasing the player height in the process. I have also had to use more blocking volumes around things like the cardboard boxes so it looks again like they can be collided with. It is a not an ideal solution and I should pay more attention to scale in the first instance before I get too far into a project in the future.

I have now completed task three of beginning the last user testing of the level demo and here are the comments that I recieved.
" I feel like a little mouse".

Target 2 Done!!
I have now imported the radiator pipes static mesh and texture into UDK and placed them in my level.
I have now completed task two of building and texturing the radiator pipes for my level to be duplicated throughout.

Kitchen Layout Change!!
After testing out my level it was found that the kitchen part of the level did not reflect a real kitchen layout and felt wrong. I changed the layout of the kitchen to better suit a working enviroment and aslo took the recommendation to have the store room door slightly open with the chest freezer blocking the door as if someone had tried to trap something in there.

I have now imported the textures and static meshes into UDK and placed then within my level.
I have comlpeted task six of building and texturing the chest freezer for my level. I built the lid for the chest freezer as a seperate model so I could have one freezer open and one closed.

Atmospheric Music Created and Added to Level!!
Working closely with a lecturer and using Kyma we created the sound files needed to create an atmosphereic piece of music for my level. We then put all the sounds together in Adobe Audition and when I was happy with the music piece we exported the file as a 16 bit .wav for importing into UDK. I think the piece of music really adds atmosphere and was really worth spending the time over.

Matress Added!!
I have imported the matress and texture into UDK and placed it in my level and I believe it looks alot better and more believable.
I thought it might be a good idea to add a dirty matress or two so I built and textured one to put in my level.

I have now imported the model and texture into UDK and placed them so they block off the access to the rest of the secound floor.

Footsteps Problem Solved
After much searching I found nothing on the internet to help me solve this problem. I began to look inside UDK's Content Browser and looked for the sound package containing the right files I needed to alter. In the sound package I found the files for the characters footsteps ( A_Character_footsteps/ footsteps).
I then found the sound cue for A_Character_footstep_Default Cue and right clicked. I selected the Properties and Sound Attenuation Nodes. I then began to alter the Volume Multiplier from the default setting of 0.4000 right down to 0.5000 and save this setting in the package and it worked on turning the volume of the footstep sound in my level.
I am not sure if this is the correct way of doing this due to no docuementation but like I said it does work so I feel I have solved this problem.

Target 2 Done!!
I have now imported all the sounds into UDK and set up all three triggered events of my level. The door slam event has its finished sound. The corridor trigger and the sound of the wardrobe falling down the stairs ahead is finished. The trigger for the discovery of the wardrobe and unseen event is also done with the finished sound. There is one problem though and that is that the default sound of character's footsteps are to loud so I will have to find away of turning the volume down on this default setting within UDK.

More Loose Pages and Book Added!!
I have built another book and some pages and imported them into UDK and placed them in my level and I think it looks alot better for it.
